164 samples and punching w/ Mbox
Hi everyone,

I'm playing with my new MBox, great product!! Extremely convenient for me. I know that there's some latency (164 samples) when recording with it, so when I record a track I move it back by 164 samples immediately after recording as explained elsewhere in the DUC.

However I was wondering how this affects punching? If I have a track recorded and moved back 164 samples, then I want to re-record a bar, and then move it back 164 samples, doesn't it create an overlap of 164 samples at the "beginning" of my punch and a gap of 164 samples at the end of it? Will it make a difference? Or maybe I don't understand properly how this all works!

I thought maybe punching in on a different (temporary) track would be better, so I created a "tmp" track, but now I have "tmp-01", "tmp-02", etc. regions everywhere between "bass-xx", "leadguit1-xx", etc.

Any comments/ideas?
