How to clean Artist Mix?
 

Hello,
can someone tell me the best way to clean the surface of my Artist Mix unit? Is there a special cleaner for this?

I have a 1" paint brush I use for dusting off gear (thanks to Pud Cusack for that idea) and I only use that and canned air on any of our gear. I suppose you could also spray something like monitor cleaner on a soft cloth and wipe with that, but I wouldn't spray anything directly on the unit.

Yeah, I get using a brush to remove dust, but these things get grease from our fingers and some dust just seems to stick.

What in the HELL is this sticky black plastic that they made the artist faceplate from?? How is it supposed to be cleaned?? Any time I use a rag, the lint just sticks to the surface. The jog wheel on the Artist Transport is even worse, but it's the same problem.

There don't seem to have been any further recent comments about this issue.

I have the same complaint. The surface material doesn't respond favourably to 'normal' cleaning products and the stickiness is intolerable.

I use warm water on a microfiber cloth, and elbow grease. I also WASH MY HANDS OFTEN before mixing with the fader surface. LOL.


No harsh chemicals needed.
