set automation to off/touch (shortcut)
I am asking for a shortcut. In the Control app there's an EUCON "Automation -> Modes -> off" / "touch" macro - but this is not working here. :-)

Re: set automation to off/touch (shortcut)
Given this question and your other post, I suggest you describe your entire setup and system so maybe somebody can offer better advice:o

Re: set automation to off/touch (shortcut)
My mistake that I was corrected on how it works from the app:
You need to hit "do to all" or "do to sel" before pressing the automation mode. |

oooooh I looooove you soooooo :-):D Thank you!!! Just for my knowledge: I searched in the reference guide, the controlapp PDF, and the shortcuts guide for "do to" "do to all". Only in the reference guide under HEAT Avid writes about this command. For what more is it useful? |

It's the workaround for the fact you can't press two macros at the same time on the App to get this kind of function. Only the automation modes require it for even one track selected. Which is where you (and I) got stuck. |
Re: set automation to off/touch (shortcut)
I appreciate your help! Happy eastern to you and the whole community here. :-)

Re: set automation to off/touch (shortcut)
I continue on this task about "do to selected":
menu -> edit -> delete PAN automation = works without going into the PAN lane. now: copy PAN automation -> PASTE to current automation type = is only working, when I see the PAN lane? :( |

Pro Tools doesn't know what the current automation type is unless, well, the lane is visible. That's what tells it "the current automation type" If you want to just paste (not "paste to current automation type") you can do that and it will paste to the same Pan lane without having the pan lane visible. |
