So How is 2018.12 working for you ?

This is not a thread complaining about a lack of new features...

I installed Protools 2018.12 using a clean install on Win 10 (Build 1809). Over the course of a few hours I had 2 crashes: (i) when I tried to setup my Command 8 midi controller I got an access violation error (bunch of zeros in the error message) required reboot, (ii) hard crash during mixing of a 16 audio track / 3 VI project - machine completely locked up.

I have gone back to 2018.7 - the most stable version I have used over the past several years. Indeed, 2018.7 has never crashed on my current system.

No serious complaints here. Actually, pretty darn solid.

Just fine on unsupported Mojave

It definitely has more lag with Mojave than PT 2018.7 had with High Sierra. No crashes yet. Video engine stayed active -- no disruptions -- which is good news. If the lag continues I'll head back to 2018.7 which was the most solid in recent months.

For me, like the release notes, no changes

A couple of crashes but nothing major

Please educate me. How on earth can a couple of crashes be "nothing major"? Isn't the definition of a crash "something major"?

Yes, unless the thing that caused the crashes was repairable.

running high sierra 10.13.6 with 2018.12 here

I feel the interface (mainly the edit window and not the mix window) a bit jumpy or lagging when I get to move clips ... as for bugs ... for some reason I get the following error from time to time without any reason since the error disappears and won't be replicated ... Assertion in "/Volumes/Development/223020/ProTools/NewFileLibs/Sys/MacOS/Sys_FileLocMacOS.cpp", line 230

Other than that, Some 3rd party plugins are causing crashes like the Kick II by Sonic Academy ...

pretty solid here. Updated and just deleted the workspace and catalogue as usuals.

nothing to big to complain. one crash during changing a session (something I would not call major) no hick up or crashes during use.
