10.3.2 Mac downloader doesn't work with latest version of Java
Well this is annoying. Updated to the latest version of Java to ensure no security vulnerabilities, and the Avid download manager doesn't work since it's only 32 bit.
Suggestions for those of us who need an alternate download location? |

On a Java related note Apple this week in it's update did a thing were Java is disabled in Safari (not sure about Firefox) if it's not been used in a while. Don't know what they mean about 'not used in a while' though. The remedy from what I've read is to manually download the latest version of Java and install from there. Not a bug but Apple is trying to distance itself from Java for some reason.

They do not want to devote any resources to a third party product and most importantly they don't want to be responsible for any security vulnerabilities appearing in that product. Remember the last Mac trojan/virus exploited a Java vulnerability. They placed all future development in Oracle's lap basically saying that they were in a better position to respond to any product issues.
