Avid Thunderbolt 3 Expansion Chassis and inside Power connector Issue
 

I just purchased a Avid Thunderbolt 3 Expansion Chassis. It's the 1 slot Sonnet one. Also a new HDX card. The power connector with the HDX card does not connect into the Power Connection inside the Chassis. They seem to be both male. I would think a proper connector would come with the chassis? Has anyone had this issue or what connector was used to connect up the HDX Card??

I called support and they are all in Manila now and I have to wait for someone to call me back. Kinda frustrated at the moment.

Well Thank You for no one replying!!:mad:

I did end up calling Sonnet and with the help by Andy, I found out that the Power Cable is included with HDX Card!! Duh!
It's in a packet labeled Part 9180-6000-00, ASY.CBL.POWER.MACPRO
One of the connectors is a mini connecter which is attached to the Chassis' motherboard.
WHY CAN"T THIS INFO BE INCLUDED IN THAT CHASSIS MANUAL I DON'T KNOW!! LAME!
Also shame on you Avid Tech Support for never responding to my call!

You’re welcome. FYI also the reg card was missing. Make sure you keep the box and have receipt available if you need to contact support to register it.
