At the end of the day

I would just like to say THANKS to Protools.Inspite of all the little glitches and incompatibilities ect,I haven't had this much fun with software in a long time and Ive got them all! Cubase sonic ect.Hey guys ITS FREE.If it was DIGI'S intent to get me hooked on thier product it worked! I am shopping around for a real system now.
Thanks again PTF

I totally agree with you. The interface to cubase, logic, studio vision and cakewalk metro seem so clumsy compared with protools.

The precise way of entering midi control data either in the edit screen or with the menus is great! I don't think I'm ever gonna spend a few hundred on one of the other sequencers when I can get Protools LE and an Audio Media III card for little more than what other companies charge for a quirky interface and a total reliance on 3rd part cards for high quality audio input and output.

I like the idea of getting a complete system made by one manufacturer. Mind you that's why I use a mac as opposed to a PC or battling with my Atari ST, a load of hardware and a multitrack. I'm definately gonna get either the toolbox or the digi001 this year.

I agree that PT has way the best interface and greater stability over other audio apps (notably Cubase). Thanks Digi!

Now if only they'd make a Firewire Digi 001 that I could connect to my PowerBook I'd buy it tomorrow... this afternoon even.

As long as you have a fire wire port on your comp,PT should work.I'm using an ADS 60 gig firewire w/PT free on my g3 B&W and it works great! It also works w/ Logic & Cubase but PRO TOOLS is so much more fun!
