Seeking help in obtaining velvet v1
 

Hi all,

I've dusted off my old setup and about to do some music for pleasure as well as some for work.

I've got a solid PT8 LE system running on the last mac that would run SNow Leopard, and I like it how it is. (I've a lot of plug-ins that are not worth the cost of upgrading OS/PT).

However, i would really like to get hold of a licence for version 1 of the Velvet instrument plug-in, so was wondering if anyone knew how I could go about that.

Maybe you don't use it anymore and would pass your iLok licence to me with some kind of arrangment or swap?

Hi, welcome to the community!

Are you sure Velvet2 doesn't work with Snow Leopard? Ask AIR about it, telling you don't need official support for it but want to know if it works.

If they say yes, then this would perhaps be a good deal? (Would be anyway as you will at some point have a current setup.)

Not according to Velvet 2’s System Requirements page:

I realise you’re not alone here – it certainly makes sense to “park” if your current OS/PT/Plug-Ins/Hardware give you all that you need.
Stability is everything – starting your day by opening Pro Tools and getting straight down to work – instead of wasting eons trying to keep up with incessant updates!
