no pdf guides

I just tried looking for the the reference guide and found that I have none of the pdf guides. I recently upgraded from 7.1 to 7.1.1, copied 7.1.1 to disk and have used that a coupole of times recently when doing a clean install while dealing with another issue. I have always been doing this guided by tech support as I get pretty confused with this stuff. I'm guessing that the pfs guides got lost/not reinstalled somewhere in this process.
Can someone tell me how to get those back?

By the way, the very basic question I was looking for is how do you delete a session? I haven't found this metiuooned in any of the books I have...
Thanks

PT7.0-7.1.1 Documentation Installer for Mac OSX

Log in and scroll to page 2

To delete a session, simply drag the folder to the trash. **Care** - make sure that the audio files folder doesn't contain anything used in another session. Sometimes PT just links to the media location.

Thanks Phil. I had a hunch there could be issues as you advised about re files being shared etc. That's why I wanted to wait. As I said, I'm still getting used to how/where/why files are stored various places. How do I know if a file is being used in another session? What would be an example?

If you suspect something might have been used in another session (samples are a common example),

1. Open that session and select 'show full path' in the regions bin (right of edit window). This will tell you where the audio resides.

2. If you see anything linked from the session you're about to delete, consolidate that region and a new file will be created.

3. Clear/Remove the redundant (linked) region from this session and you should be good to go.
