DVD RAM 9.4Gb info please...

I'm new to DVDRAM storage technology .
A few days ago I had the choice between another large pile of harddrives for backing up my audio or buying DVD RAM. So I ordered a Panasonic DVD RAM drive 9.4 Gb.
Later I discovered on the panasonic site that they only deliver driversoftware for windows 95, 98 and windows NT so I think to have ran into some kind of a little problem.
I work on a Apple 9600-300. I would like any advise or comments on this, because this is getting a bit confusing.

Get speedtools, goto www.macgurus.com . or www.intech.com . i have a dvd-ram drive and speedtools is da bomb. Its so easy, just drag-n-drop.
