PT Icon Bounces, Stops for a few minutes, Then Loads.
 

Just as the title says, when I go to open Pro Tools, it bounces around 20 times, stops for at least 2 minutes, then all of a sudden the splash screen shows up.
I've searched over and over for this, tried the "bouncing icon" fix, re-installed...etc etc.
Has anyone come across this particular problem? It began after I upgraded to PT 8, figured it would go away after today's update since it now supports Snow Leopard.
Help!

Have you added your non-OS drives to the Spotlight Privacy List as described in the troubleshooting sticky?

Does it happen on other admin accounts?
Remove log-in items?
Are you on 8.0.3 non PR?
System Specs?

Fixed it. Trashed preferences and added external drives to spotlight privacy section.
