Updating Windows but don't want to lose settings
My Windows OS is acting up and I want to reinstall it.
I see folders in my AppData folder that say Avid, Universal Audio, PACE, etc. Can I save these files to avoid losing all my preferred settings in Pro Tools, UAD, all my plugins, etc.? It takes me days to recover all those settings if I do them manually. |

Why not try a repair first?

The Thrasher app can create saves of a lot of plugin presets and settings

So Trasher does all this? I guess I'll try that, thanks. |

Trasher won't run. I get a "Failed to execute script" error when I try to open it. Have you guys seen this?

The problem was that I had moved my default Windows "Documents" folder to another drive. I put that back on the system drive and Trasher works well.
