Updating Windows but don't want to lose settings

My Windows OS is acting up and I want to reinstall it.

I see folders in my AppData folder that say Avid, Universal Audio, PACE, etc.

Can I save these files to avoid losing all my preferred settings in Pro Tools, UAD, all my plugins, etc.? It takes me days to recover all those settings if I do them manually.

Why not try a repair first?

The Thrasher app can create saves of a lot of plugin presets and settings

I'm pretty sure a Windows Repair would also require re-installing all applications (but that it would save my files). So it's the same process, I still need to save all my plugin and app settings.

So Trasher does all this? I guess I'll try that, thanks.

Trasher won't run. I get a "Failed to execute script" error when I try to open it. Have you guys seen this?

Contact the developer @guitardom did you use the paid version? It works great here.

The problem was that I had moved my default Windows "Documents" folder to another drive. I put that back on the system drive and Trasher works well.
