Avid Virtual Instrument Installer, HELP!!!!
 

Hey Guys,
Just bought PT 10. With the download there was an additional installer named: Avid Virtual Instrument Installer.

I own the PTIEP. Already on my computer. I understand that I should not install this over PT 10 and that PT 10 will automatically install the correct updates...so what is this Avid Virtual Instrument Installer??? Why is it there? What is it for?

I'm not installing PT 10 until someone can give me a clear answer.

As far as I know all I need to do is install PT 10.

It's the free instruments (Xpand, Boom, Vacuum etc) that come bundled with Pro Tools 10, wrapped as a separate installer (I suppose majority of post production guys just don't need those). If you had those installed with previous PT versions, they should be updated along with PT 10.
