ERROR while downloading PT 8.0.1 Update

macbook pro 2.16 > OS 10.5.8 > PT 8.0

I continually get the message that 8.0.1 is a critical and free update.. every time I try to download I get this error:

Java Plug-in 1.5.0_28
Using JRE version 1.5.0_28-b04-382-9M3326 Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM
User home directory = /Users/cazuaga

I've never had issues downloading updates over the past 10yrs. I certainly know nothing about java. Thanks in advance for any help.

Which browser and version are you using? Have you tried a different browser?
