Pro Tools Perpetual Bundle (with 10/11/12)
1 Attachment(s)
Hello All,
I have a question about upgrading to 12.6 in Pro Tools. I have copied and pasted a portion of my ILok terms to use as a reference; it should be attached to this message. I 'believe' I am giving up my Upgrade and Support Plan and it will be replaced with a Perpetual Bundle (with 10/11/12). Could anyone please elaborate on this information? Thank you! |

Since I would be upgrading to 12.6, that means I could never go back to 10+11+12, as I could potentially - want to or need to go back - if 12.6 had some bugs and if I didn't renew my yearly subscription maintenance plan with Avid. My subscription ends very soon.

And to clarify... 'subscription' refers to licensing but you have a perpetual license, so whether you renew your Upgrade Plan or not either bundle will continue to work. Since the new bundle simply adds 12.6 (and its licenses are still perpetual) you won't lose anything by completing the upgrade. Just need to activate the new bundle (and surrender the old one) in iLok License Manager. |

Okay, that's good to know that I still have Pro Tools 10+11+12! :-)
I have to apologize for my word usage. At the time when I was preparing my message, I couldn't think of the term 'license', as my mind drew a blank, so I used 'subscription' instead. Thank you so much for your detailed response! It is greatly appreciated. :) |

I currently have pt 10. Thinking of buying the latest HD perpetual but I'm only interested at this time in running HD 10. After the term expires will I still be able to run Hd 10 or 11 or 12 ? I know at the moment u can only purchase 12. I just want to be sure I'll be able to continue using the HD ver of 10 after the support runs out.
