PC UPGRADE IS GOING TO RUIN ME, SNIF.

I just ordered a Digi 001 set up from a major dealer & I am now finding out that I' m going to have to drop over a grand to use it because my lowly absolete 2+ yr old P II w/ 32 RAM is a dog! Duuhh.

Welcome to the club! Dog is a good term - Computer years are like dog years (1 calender year = 7 dog years) Your PC is really 14 years old! Time for a new one...
