Mbox 3 Pro Drivers 1.1.10 and Windows 8.1

For some reason, none of the drivers after the original drivers that came with my Mbox 3 Pro have EVER worked correctly. They might work for a day or two and then I run into problems. (Versions 1.1.8, 1.1.9, etc...) If I uninstall and install the 1.0.19 drivers...everything works perfect. NO HICCUPS! Is there something I am doing wrong or does something in Windows 8.1 have to be configured differently to have the latest drivers work properly?!?

Any suggestions would be kindly appreciated.
Thank you
Howard

And you tried the 1.1.10 driver that came out 9 days ago?

There is a significant change between the official drivers released with my mbox and the newest ones that does not allow Windows to recognize my audio interface all the time. I have absolutely NO problems with the ODs.

Do you by any chance start Windows without having the Mbox powered on? If so, Windows will revert to an other set of "speakers". If you have set the Mbox as the default audio device in Windows (start -> Control Panel -> Sound -> Playback tab) you will see a green check mark beside the mbox. if you don't see it beside it, then it's not the default audio device and this is probably why you are having problems.

Windows 10 and MBP Drivers 1.1.10....this problem still persists. I cant properly use the new drivers with my computer even updated to the latest Windows, all devices with the latest drivers. ( Let me restate my complaint, the drivers work only when I restart the mbox, the original drivers that came with the device do not require any restart of the mbox in order for it to work) Could it possibly be my firewire port? The latest drivers are in place for it and the original drivers give no hiccups. I would love to resolve this as the newer drivers appear to have a few more options than the original.

Please Avid, you're my only hope ***inserts a random Death Star bluprint card into R2D2***

Thank you kindly

Re: Mbox 3 Pro Drivers 1.1.10 and Windows 8.1

Ok, its 2017...Ive been using an older driver but I havent done much recording in a while, just mixing. I went to record and my buffer size wasnt able to change from 256. I installed the 1.1.10 drivers again and it works BUT now I am back to a card that isnt recognized by windows half the time and now creates the BSOD. Is it possible that Avid simply makes a driver that is STABLE for Windows 10 (1709) and MBox 3 Pro?!? Come on Avid, I truly dont think my request is unreasonable. A new one hasnt been released in almost 3 years. I know the product is discontinued but I pay money annually for support so they finances are there to create a stable once and for all driver. If someone on here has a suitable solution I am game for what you have.
