HD Native Thunderbolt disconnecting from Ableton Live 10.x
 

Hi

When i use HD Native Thunderbolt with Ableton Live 10.x (OSX, High Sierra), it disconnects either randomly or when i perform certain functions (but not all the time), like when i change i/o's on channels or use certain plugins.
The program doesn't crash, the soundcard just disappears from the device menu and the audio engine turns off. This happens with all buffer settings.
This is so frequent to the point it is nearly unusable.

This also doesn't happen with any other driver from 4 different soundcards i have here.

Anyone has any idea how to fix this? It's impossible to work

Is the HD driver version compatible with High Sierra?

I did notice that is a new driver the 2019.6 and i just installed it, gonna check how it works.
Still wondering if someone else has this problem, as i found in the forum at least people with HDX with the same problem

Well, i just updated the driver to 2019.6 and no change. Still the same problem...

No answer yet and was hoping some user had some valuable advice...

Try a different Thunderbolt port. Try a different Thunderbolt cable. Remove all other Thunderbolt devices to narrow down the problem.

Thunderbolt can be finicky depending on what else is connected (not just on the same port but on the same system)

That's an idea.
I'm trying some variations and one of them appeared to make the problem somewhat less frequent, but not solved. Needs further testing

Also, it's weird because running PT 2019.5 with the same port, same tb cable and same interface is absolutely rock solid...
