A-B-ing
I´ve recently heard about a technique referred to as `A-B-ing` that gives a more cinematic sound to your recording. Can anyone provide me with information on how to do this?

Re: A-B-ing
More "cinematic"? What does that even mean?
If you heard about it why not ask or look for more info there? Google A-B or A/B and "audio mixing" or similar. It's you just comparing two results/mixes. Maybe two you are working on, or what you are working on and a reference (professional) mix. |
Re: A-B-ing
A-B ing just means : listen to 2 different sources alternatively in order to compare.

I've Googled this, and looked around, but I haven't found anything. It's a technique I once saw demonstrated using ProTools in a Dave Kusak video course he's selling. |

Yes, that's what Dave Kusak appears to be doing in a video course he's selling, but he was somehow combining two final tracks to achieve a more spacious kind of sound. I'd like to try it, but I didn't understand. Naturally, you have to purchase the course to get the details! |
Re: A-B-ing
That must be parallel compression
