Creating a Stem as a Single WAV File, NOT FluteR, FluteL
Hello Everyone:
Although I've created stems before, I typically get a series of audio file with names such as FluteR, FluteL, TrumpetR, TrumpetL. I then import these files into a new session of Pro Tools and everything works fine. However, I now need to created stereo stems. The above example would be shown as Flute (stereo), Trumpet (stereo), etc. I would then import 2 files (Flute, Trumpet) into a new session of Pro Tools. Any ideas? Thanks in advance, Mark A. Ross |

Hi,
In the bounce / export menu, there's an option for Mono / Multi-mono and interleaved. You probably want interleaved, then the stereo files will be combined as 1 file Chris |

Hi Chris:
Thanks so much for your response. I'm not sure I expressed myself as clearly as I intended. What if a I have 10 audio files in my session and I need to create 10 stereo WAV files. I can't use TptR TptL, but rather I need to get Tpt, Piano, etc (each as a single Wav file. Any ideas? Thanks, Mark |

Re: Creating a Stem as a Single WAV File, NOT FluteR, FluteL
I definitely follow what Chris is saying and I appreciate your help.
I tried his suggestion and got a single *.WAV with all of the audio tracks on that single WAV file. My question is this: What if you have 10 audio tracks that you wish to export, and you want EACH track to be a single WAV file for each of those tracks. The resultant audio file folder would show the following: Tpt.wav Piano.wav violin.wav Thanks in advance, Mark |

You have to SOLO the track of the instrument you want to export otherwise Pro Tools will export the whole mix.

You will find better and easier ways to do that as you spend more time on PT and well be happy to help.
