A little pricey?

What makes you think that?
Both are surround capable, DSP and Native and has very nice tricks built-in.

Played with both of them today. Most impressed. Both are DSP.

They look fantastic! I would just like to see a native option at a more competitive price though.

How does it compare to Maxxbass? (the sub enhancer that is)

Cheers

Pricing?

two words....

high-end post.

The last people Avid think have money.

BTW, they're both GREAT plugins.

ProLimiter is well worth the money, so from the looks of the demo's, (been too busy to install the trial) I'd go for these like a shot. I do mainly do TV / film post, in surround.

Re: Avid Pro Multiband Dynamics & Pro Subharmonic

I use Waves L3LL Multi to tame the nasty dialogue frequencies that push up loudness readings, and use Maxxbass and L3LL to get really fat FX on stereo TV. looks to me like the ProMultiband is a multichannel with discrete band outputs version of the Waves. I'll be on it like a shot as soon as I can afford it to be honest.

Re: Avid Pro Multiband Dynamics & Pro Subharmonic

I tried excessively multi band compressor last week. Thats may be me but I never had a satisfaction with any multi band. It always sounds like soaped after even minor tweaking. Put it on dialogs and it starts to sound like 90's movies (aka passed through a CAT43).
I have most of multi band comps: MC2000, ML4000, WA MiltiDynamics, C4, C6 and now trying this.
For me they all sound artificial and colouring the original sound. It may be good for music though but for post I don't like them.
Being said that my go to compressor is Avid Pro Compressor and my go to limiter is Avid Pro Limiter. They are underrated IMHO especially the Pro compressor which might be even better than Sonnox Dynamics!

But again thats me and I generally dislike multi bands.

ProCompressor is brilliant. And cheaper.
