Yah! Figures it would be such an easy solution. This is something that has frustrated me for a long time.

You rule, Mr. Rogut!

moving position markers

A couple of times recently, I've had to remove a number of bars from the beginning (or near the beginning) of a song. Of course, this throws off all of my meticulously placed markers.

Is there a way to offset all the markers by a specific amount? What I do currently is note how many bars I've taken out from the beginning, then move all the markers "manually" so they line up again.

Thanks in advance for the help!

If you're editing.. you want to also include the timeline events.. so after selecting your audio.. shift + click in the timeline area. That way tempo and marker events will follow your edits.

You can try selecting the area in your timeline now to recreate the edit you performed (unlink the timeline and edit selection).

Thanks for the reply, R.J.R. Without having PT in front of me, I can't really picture what you're referring to. Is it part of that top line in the editing window that shows bar numbers, minute/seconds, and so on, depending on what I have selected for that area? If so, I think I know what you mean, but will try it out when I get home tonight.

It looks like you're saying that I can select any or all of those sections, so that everything will "move" when I pull (or add) bars before the markers. Cool!
