Yamaha USB midi driver provlem

Hi,
Whenever I plug in a Yamaha synth via usb say a motif, pro tools midi stops.
This is on Windows 10.
Has Anyone managed to get this working?

I'm a little confused - are you connecting the second synth to the first via USB? What connection are you using to go from that keyboard to your computer? Not sure if you can use the Motif's USB connections to daisy chain synths like you can regular round 5 pin MIDI connections?

Are you trying to plug things together while everything is powered on? That's not a good thing.

The way you worded your question was confusing. Once again I ask - are you connecting the Motif to the computer while power is on and PT is running or what? Hot-plugging anything isn't the best thing to do.

Don't understand what you mean by the MIDI stops. Do you mean the PT transport stops running? Please explain.

Not all keyboards can use the USB for midi. My Motif es8 works great using regular midi cables and a MOTU Fastlane USB box:o
