10.3.10 HD and "midi wait for note" bug

Having a weird "midi wait for note" bug since upgrading to 10.3.10.
First note is never triggered, only the second and after. Always worked fine
until this version. Admin, maybe you can chime in.

10.3.10 HD on Accel
OS 10.8.5
Trashed prefs, etc. Happens with and without latency comp on and different controllers.

For me,

The first midi event starts "midi wait for note" but the first midi note I hit is not recorded. Not being able to use "midi wait for note" is killing me.

Please fix this asap....

I haven't had an issue with "MIDI wsit for note" but instead I've been struggling with MIDI merge issue.

I have this problem too. The first note NEVER gets recorded. And the first note of the next segment gets erased.

I opened a case with support. Waiting to hear from them.

Hi Janne,

are you using pthd10.3.10?

On my system if I start a recording with "wait for note" the first notes trigger the start of the sequence (so it enters the sequencer midi in) but I don't get that recorded on the very start. the rest of the notes are fine. Also the notes on the beginning of the next segment (corresponding to the punch out) are erased.

I have it on this version. on 10.3.8 worked fine.

I trashed the preferences.

I see. I have version 11 also but I have several thousand of $ of plugins that I use that are still not aax and I need to stay in TDM as long I can manage, Also I DO like linear pcm compared to the floating point so I don't see no rush going that fast in the 64 bit new engine (apart from the critical memory issue). I am pretty good with gain staging so I don't really have a problem with the 30 db headroom of my tdm system

But As soon I can spend 10000 + dollars for the Hdx upgrade (plus the plugins extras to upgrade) I will do it. I reaaly can live with high latency and I need to monitor the whole chain (as I do in TDM)

So I hope there will be quick fixes on the 10HD

I never trusted this feature and simply never use it. I leave 2 bars of blank at the front of every session so I can have a 2 bar count-in, in real-time and that way, I never miss the first note(not counting my bad playing:o).

Don't hold your breath. It took insanely long to get 10.3.10 out so it might very well be the last of PT10 ever. But we'll never know, perhaps there will be 10.3.11 some day but I wouldn't count on it.

If there wasn't one piece of software that doesn't run on Snow Leopard, I would downgrade my live rig to PT 8.1.1 running on OSX 10.6.8 which to me has been the most stable and least buggy combination ever.
