Long hangs/crashes 11.02 HDX2
 

Hi folks

Protools 11. So awesome, been smashing some huge mixes and just throwing anything I want at it.

Every so often (twice a day) I get a huge hang, SWOD, for as long as 3 minutes or so. More often than not, if I have patience, it will recover. Usually, it will occur right after I press play and the audio will continue to play as the beach-ball swirls.

However, sometimes it goes on forever and I need to force quit.

Has anyone else seen this? I'm am running really big mixes, running VEPRO(64-bit) with about 6 or more Altiverbs, not always above 256 voices, but sometimes. Lots of BlueCat MB-7's with Slate plugs, Waves, MCDSP, IKMultimedia, iZotope, Melodyne etc etc. Pretty fastidious with updating plugs, was a fresh install of everything including OS, a few months ago when I updated to PT11.

I have seen a similar hang when I move Melodyne plugins between tracks, but the hang isn't as long, so it doesn't feel like the same issue.

Anyone seen this behaviour?

If it was PT10 I'd say it was Altiverb but I was hoping they'd fixed that in the 64bit version.
