ProTools 10 Backward Compatibility?

When saving a PT10 session as a PT 9 session, there were changes to the actual audio file levels in some instances when opened in PT 9. No I didn't use any backwardly incompatible functions in 10 (like clip level). Some, not all files, were at a level that looked like they were "Normalized". Every place the root file was repeated in the sequence as a clip, the clip was at full level (nowhere near the original level in PT10). When re-rendered in PT 9 to a lower clip level (using "Gain Plugin; -24dB in some cases) the mix automation seemed fine. So this seems to be file related in the "save session copy in PT 10 as PT 9....". Anyone else find this?

I'm having issues as well. When saving a copy as from a Windows system with Pro Tools 9 compatibility, the session will crash on opening on a mac. This has happened from various other computers as well. And it's repeatable.
