Waves Ren Comp switching off lock on centre dynamics section
 

So this is a bit odd, but if I lock the centre section dynamics and eq, then select an insert on any channel it all behaves as expected, except if I select Waves Renaissence Comp that is on any insert, on any channel, then the lock on the dynamics section in the centre switches off and R comp appears in the centre dynamics section.
But - if i select any insert with any plug other than R comp, then use the bank/cycle button to get R comp to come up on the channels section, it doesn't unlock the centre dynamics section and jump into it. Doesn't happen with the Custom Fader plugin set either, just pressing the Sel on the insert.
This doesn't happen with any other dynamics plugs, just R comp, and it happens regardless of Rcomp being set as my default dynamics in the PT prefs or not.
This is on PT 12.7 can anybody replicate it or had it happen on other versions? Is R Comp the HAL of dynamic plugins? Please send help..
