Turns out the issue is not having a Metal compatible video card - this according to Waves support. Stock 2012's don't have one. Apparently those who have switched their video cards so they can run Mojave and above aren't having problems. Waves should have been more transparent about what exactly IS the problem/requirements.
Speaking of transparency Waves only mentions cheesegraters - what about Mac Mini's or iMacs of a certain model? |

Not completely correct. I'm having problems with the Waves Tune plugin (phasing, double sound, ...) which started after upgrading to V12. So, be careful.

v12 Waves plugins seem to be running fine here on my Mid 2012 MBP.

Not sure about the upscale graphics resolution as other have noted! http://duc.avid.com/attachment.php?a...1&d=1603295388 The preset browser is great. Going to be using that for sure! http://duc.avid.com/attachment.php?a...1&d=1603295418 Stephen |

I'm a bit confused on this. Do you have to WUP BEFORE updating to V12? That seems to be the case.

Re: Waves V12 say goodbye to Mac Pro 2012 and earlier.
You only need to WUP if your products are out of Update Plan.
Just go to My Products in your account to see. You can Get Latest Version for your products that are in the plan. Stephen |
