12.6.1 HD driver computer wake-up bug?

Hello Avid and fellow DUC:ers,

It seems the highly anticipated new (12.6.1) HD-driver is somewhat broken still and does not like it when the computer (Mac) goes into sleep mode.

When waking the Mac up from sleep mode every app seems to lock up and refuse to start again leaving me with no choice but to force shutdown the computer (holding the power button).

This hang-up includes every app that was open before going to sleep - even the Finder app stops responding after waking up again.
It also happens in case I have quit Pro Tools before putting the computer into sleep mode. All other apps lock up anyways.

Unfortunately this has happened every time i’ve tried since installing the 12.6.1 HD driver. Nothing else is new on my system.
I have tried this both in Sierra (with PT 12.6.1) and Yosemite (PT 12.5.2). Same result and happens every time.

System info:

Mac Pro 5.1 (mid 2012)
2 x 3.46 Ghz 6-Core Intel Xenon
64 GB Ram
Nvidia GeForce GTX 680 4096 MB
Only PCIe M.2 / SSD disks.

I tried putting the ”AvidAudioServer.app” along with the ”AvidAudioServerLauncher.app” into ”Prevent app nap”-mode, to no avail.

I uninstalled the 12.6.1 HD driver and went back to the 12.5.2 driver for now, without this sleep mode problem - there must be something going on with the new driver.

Ignoring entirely to put the computer to sleep is of course also an option, but I am not always using Pro Tools, it's just strange it has worked without a problem before installing the new driver.

Anyone else have the same problem with ”waking up from sleep” on a Mac or am I just missing something very basic here?

It’s really great to have the working (kinda) core audio driver back - now we only need it to work properly!
So while you’re at fixing the problem above you could also make it possible to listen to audio from other (app) sources even though Pro Tools is open, please! :-)

Best regards,
Swedish
