PT 9.05 play issues
 

Using 9.0.5 and Mac 10.6.8
When i boot protools and select a session the play function will not work.
If I close protools and restart mac then boot protools and select session everything works fine. Any ideas what is causing issue?

I've had this issue starting at the latest by v9.0.2 (if not before). Only happens when I have a session with one or several PT software instruments instantiated. Might be specifically tied to Xpand, but I haven't done any thorough testing to confirm this. Usually a simple restart of Pro Tools (no computer restart necessary) fixes the problem for me.

And very often, if I close the session and open another with a similar configuration (software instruments, specifically Xpand (?)), the problem will return and will require yet another restart of Pro Tools.

I can confidently report that this problem has persisted over the following specs:

Mac Pro 4,1 (Early 2009)
SL 10.6.6-10.6.8
Pro Tools 9.0.2-9.0.5
