On Sale - Brainworx bx_digital V3
https://www.plugin-alliance.com/en/p...igital_v3.html
I have been waiting for a while for Plugin Alliance to put the V3 on sale. Patience has paid off. Price is down from $299,- to $99,- With my July voucher it comes down to just €50,- including 21% VAT. I've been using the 'old' V2 at work on practically everything I do, absolutely marvelous piece of kit. The V3 is even more powerful with added functions and extended frequency range. As it turns out (surprise!) the V3 actually comes with two distinct components; the 'regular' M/S version and a 'simplified' stereo/mono/multi-mono 'mix' plugin. I can't recommend it enough! (Disclaimer; Muddy-T and Lunar Attic Facilities are in no way, shape or form affiliated with Plugin Alliance or Brainworx) ;) T |

Next weeks' sale has the BlackBox. That's my favorite. I hope the end of month "surprise" includes one of the two consoles I don't have.

Are you guys OK with this concept of Plugin Alliance not to fix the ProAudioDSP DSM V2 a basic automation bug while admitting it exists?
I have allot of their stuff, but I stopped buying anything from them until they have any statement regarding the future of the ProAudioDSP DSM V2. They should either fix it or upgrade it to v3. I even will be ok with the fair fee to pay for it, but leaving all customers with the broken product is nonsense. |

It will work fine in music session on one song but not in busy postproduction session where one them might need one curve following by the other with the different curve. I contacted several times PA, and they admit it is an issue but cannot guaranty that they will address it anytime soon. This is from my support ticket a year ago ......... DSM v2 doesn't write and doesn't read automation of the capture curve, making unusable this great plugin for post. Reproducible 100%. 1. On an audio track place two themes (songs). 2. Press Capture Curve on the first theme. Write automation to all enabled. 3. Press Capture Curve on the second theme. Write automation to all enabled. 4. Go back to theme one - it now lost its curve and thus sounds different than intended. It only keeps the latest curve. All other parameters perform write and read passes just fine. The curve automation is enabled of course. Please look into this problem as many people have it. PA response: Hi Michael Goorevich, Yes, our dev team is aware of it and many of the bugs that exist with the DSM are still being evaluated for fixing. With this product in particular, there are tremendous complexities involved and this becomes a matter of resources along with other considerations which we are not at liberty to discuss. For now, I'm afraid the issue will continue to persist for quite some time. Unfortunately, there are not too many options at this point. If we do work on the DSM, it will most likely be on the V3 version so if that does ever happen, I would be able to extend you a significant discount on purchasing it. |
Re: On Sale - Brainworx bx_digital V3
I can understand both sides of that dilemma. I've rarely seen such candor from a support person about potential bug-fix development. We usually get the, "it's a known issue and is in the queue, but do not (or cannot) determine when that will be scheduled in....." type of thing. Cpu spikes, anyone? Might or might not be the same situation. (not technically....)
