If I put another $400 ontop of this price I can buy a real Distressor so we would have 5 :D

$349 and no AAX DSP is a LOT of money only Few people can afford with small setups and even though we get sucked into buying almost anything I won't pay that for a plugin i can't touch !!

It is AAX DSP. Maybe not in the first version, but AAX DSP support fir sure. Dave said it's almost ready.

It's definitely different from a Distressor. I have the hardware and the plugin. The plugin has some killer additions the hardware doesn't have and it sounds excellent. I did some videos for Dave when it first released and some a/b comparisons. Got quite familiar with the differences between them.

i think it is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE for us common folk lol at that price it should have an auto grammy nomination button lol i see they are offering 20% off but that is STILL almost $300

too rich for my blood

Then we are talking a different talk :D

I would pay $350 for a really good DSP saturation plugin like this one. Thought it was Native only and a bit expensive for what it was but ... bring on AAX DSP and i am all in :-)

Thanks for posting.

@Guitardom

I have 4 Distressors already and thought it was a software version straight up but ...,

Will demo the plugin as I am really interested, thats why I have not yet tried, I am 100% certain I will buy it just because it is a Imperical Labs product hehe

I have a couple hardware units as well. It's not an exact repro, as it's not meant to be. It's more like what Dave wanted the Distressors to be! It can do exactly what the Distressor does, it's just dials in differently. It is far more flexible though. There are some attack modifications that slay on drums and then you can dial in the saturation separately to less than a Distressor to all out distortion. The ratio buttons are a bit different as on the software you have to go 1 higher to get it closer to the hardware. So a 10:1 on the software is like an 8:1 on the hardware. Also has a built in key freq and gain. It's definitely expensive, but it sounds ridiculously good. There are more "changes" and updates coming for it as well. It's definitely in the early stages.

He talks about it in his GS thread. He has many years development already in this and insane amounts of money. It's a bit rough on a small business. He is promising a few years of free updates as well as more things become implemented in it. He is honestly one of the nicest and down to earth developers I have ever worked with and I have worked with a lot! I can't help but be a cheerleader :D
