will not save score as PDF

with score editor open, I go to file, print score, hit the PDF button and tell PT11 to save the score to my desktop as a PDF file. No matter what I call the file and no matter where I try and save it to, it does not create a file I can find anywhere. The dialog box closes as tho the save was successful. My 10.8.5 Macbook will use preview to open other PDFs. Is there a setting I'm missing?

Re: will not save score as PDF

What is your OS and which Pro Tools Version?
What steps are you using that cause this problem?

I just tried the following:
1. Open the score editor
2. Right click on the score
3. Select "Print Score" from the bottom of the menu
4. Select "PDF" from the bottom left corner of the print dialog
5. Navigate to the area to save.

And the score was saved properly as a pdf. I'm on OSX 10.8.4, with PT 11.2

Re: will not save score as PDF

To correct this, if you do not have a real printer, simply add a fake one:

1. Go to the Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Print & Scan
2. Click the padlock to unlock if necessary
3. Click the + sign above the padlock
4. Click IP
5. Enter a meaningless Address (such as 127.0.0.1)
6. Choose "Generic PostScript Printer" in the Use drop-down list
7. Click Add, then Continue
8. An error will appear. Click continue, then OK

Now try and save the score to PDF once again. It should work.
