Sample rounding issues

Hi all, is anyone having problems with the sample rounding in Pro Tools when programming drums? I posted a while ago wondering why pasted drums/loops were gradually falling off the grid. I had an answer back from Digi that this is due to sample rounding (P236 of manual).

In order to rectify this, the manual suggests selecting regions to be copied or duplicated with the selecter tool (not the grabber) or to type the location of the region to be copied in the event edit area - it also suggests using grid mode for precise pasting. I've tried all these things and my pasted drums are STILL falling off the grid - as much as 9 samples in some cases which is unworkable if you're using multiple kicks or snares.

I'm going absolutely crazy with this - at the moment I have to check every single pasted piece and move it back on to the grid. I'm using version 7.1.1 I really don't think I had this problem in OS9 with PT5 - Either way, this is just nuts. Somebody help me figure this out, I'm really, really stuck and extremely frustrated with the whole thing.

Re: Sample rounding issues

After duplicating the regions, select them all and command+0 to quantize to grid (in grid mode,of course).

Use Region Loop in Bars/Beats instead of Region Duplicate.
