2.1.3 patch - highly recommended to install it
 

Chris Markle here from Aspera... We have released a 2.1.3 patch and have tried as best we can (i.e., for those email addresses we have) to notify all of you about it. We highly recommend that this patch be installed asap as it deals with, among other things, some security issues. All you need to do to install it is use the Software Update link in your DigiDelivery admin interface. You can find some release notes at: 2.1.3 release notes.

On a related topic, if you'd like to make sure that you receive future notices of patch releases and what-not, please make sure that you have enabled the "Notify me of updates" checkbox in the Account Information link in the admin interface. This will provide us with the email address of the admin account, which we promise only to use for important notifications. Thank you for your cooperation.

Chris Markle here from Aspera... We've noticed that almost 50% of the DD servers out there still have not installed server patch 2.1.3. I cannot emphasize enough how important this patch is to install, due to some important security fixes. You can read the release notes on this patch at: http://www.asperasoft.com/support/do...es/digi-server and you can install it simply by using the Check for Software Updates link on the DD admin page.

If you are one of the 50% of people that haven't installed this important patch, please do so asap.

On a related topic, not all of you have given us your admin email to make communication with you about these issues simpler. Please check the checkbox labeled "Notify me of updates" in the Account Information link. Then reboot your box via the Server Administration link. And leave that checkbox checked. This will enable us to be aware of your admin email so that we can communicate with you proactively regarding DD server issues. Thanks!
