The chip used for FX when the mixer's in standalone mode is a DSP chip that's used for interfacing the 002 with the computer when it's being used with Pro Tools. Since it's being used for that, the effects can't be used at the same time.

From Digi's own spec page:
"use it as an 8x4x2 digital mixer complete with EQ, dynamics, delay, and reverb"

This obviously means that there is an FX chip built into the hardware. Can you access the DSP power from within LE when mixing? If not, why???
