MBOX (3rd gen) Inputs 1, 2 and 3 not working
 

Purchased an Mbox (3rd gen) with pro tools LE 8 a few months ago.

It has been working fine until recently inputs 1 & 2 on the front and input 1 on the back (XLR) cannot be picked up in Pro Tools.

I am however able to use XLR input 2 on the back of the box with a microphone.

The Mbox is being recognized by the computer and has all lights on.

Is this a hardware issue or is there a simple setting i need to change in Pro Tools?

Are the inputs showing up on the I/O dialog box (Setup > I/O)? If not or if they are greyed out, try hitting "Default" on the Input tab.

Yeah the inputs are showing up.
The only time i get a signal through input channels 1,2 and 3 is when i push the "Sft-lmt" button and it makes a clicking sound through the channel line. It feels as if the signal from my guitar/microphone isn't making it into the Mbox except for in channel 4. I definitely couldn't have simultaneously broken 3 inputs on the Mbox though so im really confused. i have looked up so many forums and can't find anyone else who has had the same problem.

I have the same issue as OP, except none of my inputs are working - neither xlr or line-in. This happened midway through a recording session and I'm at a loss to why.

Any ideas would be appreciated

Same issue, have had my Mbox for close to a year and this just started happening (also halfway through a tracking session). Just want to know if OP or anyone ever figured it out. It seems like a hardware issue, but like OP said I couldn't of broken all my I/O's at once. Any update would be appreciated.
