SonEQ from Sonimus - Freebie
I know there's lots of freebies out there and most of them are okay and a few above average. I came across the SonEQ from Sonimus today and I have to say this is a pretty slick 3 band EQ. "SonEQ is free equalizer plugin that takes parts from some vintage gear and combine them in one. SonEQ has 3 bands, bass, middle and treble. Also, SonEQ has a pre-amp section. SonEQ is a free VST/AU/AAX plugin for Mac and Windows."
I commend this one to your attention! |
Re: SonEQ from Sonimus - Freebie
I agree Sonimus does some great plugs, I have and use Sweetone all the time, it is a very well thought tilt/loudness EQ plug. This one is clever as well but I find myself reaching out to the more traditional emulations I have for both Pultec and API.

+1. Use Satson and Britson on mix bus in every session.
Also use Tuco, Bunley 73 and StonEQ 4k alot. |
Re: SonEQ from Sonimus - Freebie
I have to say that having tried the Sonimus out on a couple tracks, that it is quite nice. Using it on a bassline I was able to bring out some definition very easily and it sounded really smooth. It is definitely on par with many similar EQs that you pay for.

The character of their 1073 EQ is my favourite among all the Neve plugins I have. I think it's called Burnley
