New iLok key says it's owned by another user
 

Hey guys, I'm new here.

I recently bought Pro Tools 11/10 - came with a new ilok.

I am new to the ilok stuff as I was an Ableton user before making the change.

My problem is,

I registered everything from the avid stuff (downloaded and installed everything).

I made an ilok account and downloaded the ilok manager.

Now what is happening is - My ilok key is saying it is Owned By: Another User.
I'm not sure what I have done to make it say this as it is brand new.

I'm guessing I have somehow made 2 ilok accounts but I seriously don't believe I did.

I can see the Pro Tools 11 bundle in the manager, so it appears ready to drag into the ilok once sorted.

I feel close but this is quite annoying.

Any help would be amazing!

Hi Erik,
It looks like your license and downloads have been available since last August. Maybe you are looking in the wrong Avid account and/or iLok account? Check the Private Message I sent you with the details of your registration/activation.

What link would that be? This thread has to do with iLok keys, so I don't understand your question.

Hi Bruce,

I am having the exact same problem.

I've purchased Avid Protools 11, activated my ilok and downloaded the ilok manager. When I go to activate my new protools, it says I don't own my ilok and that it's owner is someone else? I have the USB plugged in and I also signed in and activated my licence via the manager.

it's a little frustrating, as I feel I am so close to using my software.

I really hope you can help, as I have been trying to figure this issue out for sometime now.
