El Capitan and PT12 with S3L - Working!
 

Hi,
I thought it would be time for an update, so I went to PT 12.5 (the latest) and El Capitan 10.11.4 since both seem to be supported from what I read on the avid page.
But since the update I have no network device showing up in the network device view from the audio/midi setup.

Anybody has this configuration working?
Did I forget something?

Hi Karel
S3 port A to port C on the E3.
S3 port B to ProTools.
Is the only way how it works...

Connection is the same as before the update and as described. There must be a software issue.
Could be something I am missing or just that 10.11.4 is not working yet?!?

I think 12.5 is not supported yet together with S3L. I use 12.3.1 and that works fine with El capitan 10.11.4.

System Software:
- Mac OS X 10.10.3 (Yosemite) or Mac OS X 10.11 (El Capitan)
- Pro Tools 11.3.1 or Pro Tools 12.1 is supported with Mac OS X 10.10.3 or higher (Yosemite)
- Pro Tools 12.3 is supported with Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan
- VENUE 4.5.3 software is only supported with Mac OS X 10.10.3 (Yosemite) or Mac OS X 10.11 (El Capitan)

Works fine for me (MacBookPro 17", el captain, PT 12.5, Venue 4.5.3)

Thanks Amplitube for your Answer, now it works for me as well.

Just had to update everything including a firmware update for the S3.

All is good now, so have fun updating :)

Is it stable for you guys? I´m considering upgrading this summer, but honestly I have not taken my chances yet.

Sometimes i Need To Start the Mac two times to get it to recognize the E3 or S3 ( depending on studio or live mode of the S3) as an AVB device.
Once running it is stable.

Thanks. Are you running PT12.4 or PT 12.5? What kind of laptop do you have?

PT 12.5 on a 2011 Mac Mini, wich is due for some more RAM, it still has the Original 4GB....
