Re: Bouncing to disk

My bounces to .wav's never sound different from my working mix's. Converting to 128kpbs mp3's only differ in what I would describe as "granularity"... especially in the top end. Nothing I would describe as a drastic difference in overall EQ. Note however, I do not ever use PT to create MP3's. I use Sound Forge or CDEX. What app do you listen back to your mix's with? If you import your bounces back into PT they sound different? Haven't a clue what may be happening on your end. |
Re: Bouncing to disk
I run into this same deal....
What I do is get my mix set in my monitors and save it. THEN I save it under the same name but add MP3 to the file name. I then do "test" MP3 bounces and ADJUST that mix listening to on an MP3 player or another PC with Windows Media Player... its a trial and error deal until you get it as close as you want. I can get it down to 3 or 4 passes at this point. All the points others have made here are absolutely correct but to do what you and I want this is my own formula...PITA... but it works. |
Re: Bouncing to disk
Gain differences can fool you into believing you are hearing a difference in EQ...
Just a thought. |
