OWC Elite Raid Issues....

Anyone have one of these? This thing will not wake from sleep without freezing the entire system. MacBook Pro 10.12.

I think that, generally speaking, Raid arrays are not recommended for Pro Tools.

Never had issues with raid ever on PT. This isn't even about that but instead about the the drive not waking up from sleep.

System prefs might be the culprit. In OSX 10.12 something changed there in energy saver "I think that's where it is". Power is out here so I can't check

The only solution is to uncheck "put drives to sleep whenever possible" . Not the best solution since the unit should wake without problems. OWC says they've never heard of this before...

I know you're issue is about the RAID not waking from sleep but "put drives to sleep whenever possible" should be off anyway according to Avid's Pro Tools' OSX recommended settings.

What does it report back when you type in "sudo pmset -g" (without quotes) in a Terminal window?

I suspect your computer's "standby mode" is enabled.
