Having their limiter, eq, reverb, compressor and multiband compressor I'm thinking of adding their gate. Is it really good enough to warrant inclusion in my toolbox? I have compressors that can also do gating. I like what Fabfilter plugins do but something as pedestrian as a gate?

Re-opening this thread because Fabfilter is having a sale until the end of the month and my previous question remains the same: is their gate plugin worth it to add to my stable of plugins? As before I have other plugins that do gating but at $89 is it worth it to add it?

Never tried their gate but it looks great, a lot of tools there.

Agreed. I'm looking for those who have tried it and how they got on with it (or didn't). I have most of the mixing/mastering Fabfilter plugins save for the gate and de-esser and like what they do when I need what they do. I demoe'd it before and found it not all that inspiring and thought that maybe there's something I'm missing with it.
