Pro Tools specific keyboards
Looking for recommendations from any of you using Pro Tools labeled keyboards.
I'd like a backlit one. When I work in my home studio at night, I find myself straining to see the keyboard and figure I'd get something Pro Tools specific labeled while I was at it. Looking at these: https://www.editorskeys.com/products...nt=40752429002 https://logickeyboard.com/shop/avid-...ard-3520p.html Any experience with these or others? I like the feel of the standard Apple keyboards. Thanks. |

It's got a little "click" to it, but I quickly got used to it and feel that it was mostly just getting used to the difference between it and what I was using before, which was an Apple slimline keyboard with a silicon overlay.
IOW, for the first few hours I was questioning it, but now feel the benefits outweigh the adjustments I've made. |

My 2 cents -
I use the Editors Keys one, and the transition was smooth. I don't always need it back-lit, but it sure is nice when needed. Solid! Mark |

Re: Pro Tools specific keyboards
I've been using a Logitech dual mac and PC keyboard (have a PC and mac using both dual monitors) for almost 15 years and earlier this year bought the Logic keyboard and WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a night and day difference. the color coded keys and colors and the 5 level back light is worth every penny. Plus the rubber cover that can be washed with warm water and soap makes it even more worth every penny. Had it 4-6 months now and last week cleaned the rubber key cover that it came with, and when I took it off it was in MINT SHINNY NEW condition. At this rate, it'll look brand new for another decade or so. The back lighting was the main reason and really helps. Someone had posted a rather lengthy YouTube video of using both the logic and the editors key and that's what made my decision to go with logic. And it works flawlessly with my Belkin KVM switcher. The keys are perfect for both the Mac and PC use and functionality |
