Zoom H6 Multitrack Interface w/ Pro Tools 12
Greetings. I'm using a Zoom H6 as an audio interface for Pro Tools 12, until I can afford an upgrade. It connects fine using the onboard "stereo mix," setting. However, it seems to not work if I set it as a "multitrack interface." I'm hoping to have the ability to record discrete channels into Protools, but it seems the only way to input from the Zoom is by the zoom outputting a stereo mix of the mics I have plugged into the Zoom. Despite setting channel 1 and 2 to different tracks, each track is inputing a mix of both channels. Is there a way to keep the channels separate? Am I missing something?
Thanks! |
Re: Zoom H6 Multitrack Interface w/ Pro Tools 12
You have to install the Multi-track driver if you are on Windows.
There are two drivers. One is for 2in/2out the Multi-Track driver is for 6in/2out. Download the driver here for Windows. https://www.zoom-na.com/products/fie...rder/downloads On the Zoom H6, you need to choose Multi-track when you are setting it as an audio interface if you want discrete audio channels. |

Thanks. I'm running Pro Tools 12.7 on Mac (Sierra). When selecting Multitrack Interface on the H6, the inputs aren't working. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Hmm... I'm on Windows and my Zoom H6 works as it should with Pro Tools.
Did you try defaulting the IO in Pro Tools? |
