One question guys:
If I stop updating my year perpetual license and go the subscription way, what happens if after some years I decide to stop the subscription?
Will I be able to use the PT version of my last paid perpetual license?

Depends if you start a new subscription or crossgrade your perpetual license to a subscription. If you do the second, you surrender your perpetual to get the crossgrade offer so if you stop paying for the subscription you have nothing. If you do the first, you still have your perpetual license.

[This is the way Avid worked it for Media Composer earlier this year]

You should know by now that Avid never reveals dates for new features and updates so we have to wait and see. I heard later this year which can mean anything.

like anything "avid".. just move along and forget it.. this heat stuff is a ship that has sailed long ago.
Crane song is genius, but like MDW [another genius].. their take on DAW world is old, and not worth it anymore.. prices are stupid, barlely update much

I have MDW eq they wanted 100$ to update the TDM3.. since its usually 600$ lol
then the Avid stuffed bags of ,...screwed up the website so the upgrade is not even an option in the dropdown... even tho its still "listed" in my pathetic AvidConnect App stupidity [ that asks me to log in everytime]

Agree with the fact that their policy is skewed as people wanna know what they are buying into me included but I would not take my info from PTE who has been appologizing several times for posting the wrong info.

Also the HEAT is only included in SUBSCRIPTIONS and not updated Perp licenses and for those who have a annual support i.e perpetual updated plan (not subscription) the HEAT plugin is $199 and that IMHO is still a LOT these days.
