Download Pro Tools 7.3 or pay for an authorisation code for 7.4
 

Hi,

I urgently need to get PT working on my laptop (mac OS 10.7.5).

I do not have my installation discs on me and am in a foreign country. I have my mbox 2 mini with me.

I have an authorisation code for PT 7.3, which is running on my Mac Pro at home.

Will 7.3 run on my laptop (OSOS 10.7.5)? If so, where can I download the installer?

I have succeeded in downloading and installing PT 7.4.2 on my laptop and need an authorisation code. I am happy to pay!

I don't think so. PT7.3 is supposed to be used with Tiger (10.4.x) and PT7.4.2 is built for Leopard (10.5.x)

Sorry if I am being daft, but how do i go about upgrading my license to 7.4.2 and get the authorisation code that I need?

You also need different operating system. Please check the compatibility chart before you buy a PT license

Ok, so I have found a downloadable installer for Pro Tools LE 8.4. How do I buy the license and thereby get an authorisation code?

You find someone who wants to sell his used system. Cannot buy a new one anymore. But did you understand that PT7 and OSX 10.7.x isn't supported and most likely not going to work. I myself wouldn't even try.

I got that thanks, and that is why I am going for PT8. So Avid will not under any circumstances allow me to pay them money for an authorisation code for PT8?
