I was watching some u tubes video and discovered the pre section in the send window. This definitely help me with my mixes. Forgive me but i should
I should have known but I didn't.

My question is can someone explain the difference between the pre and post fader in the send window. Forgive my ignorance.

Re: You learn sumthing new everyday
If you engage the "pre" switch on a send, the send is "pre fader", in other words the send sends a signal even if the channel fader is all the way down.

Typical application: independent headphone mix.

Another example of using "pre fader" send: Build reverberation tail louder than original signal.
