Avid Support plan renewal
Just had to write this, I totally feel like I'm being hosed by avid having to pay $399 usd to my Canadian which works out to $550 CDN.
To be honest they don't deserve a dime of my money for all the headaches I've had to deal with over protools 12. They should be paying me money for being their blasted beta tester. There you have it! |

I bought the perpetual license. Is that no longer an option? It's great for me, I don't need any new features after 12.4.

I suspect many of us waited until December 2015 to go PT12 and now, one year later, we are having to renew. 'Tis the season ...

ANd as far as I can see here, we get no extra year bonus. Feels unfair.

Agree as well. 599.00 and 399.00 for 2016 and 2017 certainly feels ridiculous for cloud collaboration and Midi timing issues and crashes....
Avid should give a rebate for 2016 to HD loyal users. The original bargain with the 'subscription plan' was they would always supply bug fixes for previous releases if you got off the plan, but wouldn't receive new features. Tough to stick up for Avid these days...... |
