Renewal vs Reinstatement with Teachers Account
 

Hi, I have an active teacher's account (says perpetual license, standard support, education in Pro Tools tab), Pro Tools vanilla, on the grace period till tomorrow. I looked up the prices on Sweewater and it seems that both renewal and reinstatement licenses are the same price $99.

Are those prices correct for Educational accounts? That would mean that if I activate the renewal today I am paying for 11 more months of support and if I wait till tomorrow and buy the plan for expired license, I am getting 12 months of support starting tomorrow? If I am not wrong here, that means that I could very well wait a few months and if some nice update comes out, I can reinstate my expired plan for just $99? Thanks.

Either way i think you need to privide proof of eligebility for those licenses. Email Sweetwater support and ask so you dont end up with the $299 reinstatement.

Thanks, I just did. When I bought my educational Pro Tools, also from Sweetwater, they didn't ask for anything. Verification was done through Avid.
